Young lawyers Pasha Skvortsov and Yana Sinitsyna decide to introduce their relatives before the wedding. But when they meet, it turns out that many years ago Pasha's father, a police lieutenant colonel, jailed Yana's father. And while the mothers are trying to reconcile the families, the elder Skvortsov is doing everything so that the son refuses the bride with suspicious relatives.
