After surviving the death of a newborn child and losing the opportunity to have children of her own, 39-year-old Tatyana Sukhova, a former psychotherapist and now the wife of a "new Russian", creates her own small clinic for the adoption of orphans.

Overcoming many obstacles, despite problems in her personal life, Tatyana, together with the brilliant pediatrician Shurik Uglov and the geneticist Igor Golubovsky, who has many children, helps orphans and childless spouses find and love each other.
