Geologist Vika and geophysicist Andrey are former lovers, whose emotional wound from parting is still fresh. They are called to the site of a meteorite crash in a deep forest, and feelings flare up with renewed vigor. But the heroes cannot be together - a deep sense of guilt does not allow them to be happy. After all, because of their affair, as they believe, Vika's husband died, and Andrei's wife left home with their small child.
