The story is about the beautiful, talented magistrate Tao Jun Zhan (Luo Zheng) and the daring, eccentric Ah Fan (Huang Zhi Ying). The action takes place in Biyun County, known as "the city that never sleeps". Each of them pursues their own goals, but, going through a series of insidious life trials, unconsciously they gradually get closer to each other.
