Pogotownik (a Polish portmanteau combining "emergency" & "guide") is an app that aggregates all the information one could need in case of emergency. It includes an interactive map consisting of:

  • A bunkers layer, with data from the State Fire Service of Poland
  • An air quality/smog layer, with data from the Chief Inspectorate for Environmental Protection
  • A fires layer showing large-scale fires and wildfires with data from NASA's FIRMS
  • A floods layer with water level data from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management in the National Research Institute
  • A reports layer with all user-submitted incident reports

The application allows users to submit their own reports to warn others of events that might not yet be in the latest crisis data. Additionally, there is a "backpack" page with a curated checklist of the most essential items everybody should have in their go-bag.

The website was created by three-person team twIST over the course of the 24-hour BEST Hacks 2025 hackathon: Konrad Guzek, Kamil Marczak, Michał Gęs.

Pogotownik – your guide, always on standby.
